Naugatuck River Atlantic Salmon Fishing Trip

Each year the state stocks hundreds of Atlantic Salmon into the Naugatuck River. These fish range from two to 20 pounds and offer an incredible fight on a fly rod.

Join the Mianus, Nutmeg and Naugatuck-Pomperaug Chapters on Saturday, Nov. 21 for this fun, free trip. Fishing will start at 10 a.m. and we'll meet at the intersection of Valley Road and Campville Hill Road in Harwinton - use Exit 41 off Route 8 and 200 Campville Hill Road, Harwinton CT 06791 as your GPS address.

This year, we will be skipping the trash cleanup and streamside barbecue to keep everyone safe. We'll be asking attendees to wear masks in the parking areas and when congregated closer than 10 feet apart, and stay at least a rod's length apart from other anglers out on the water.

Bring kids and new anglers who will be wowed by the size of these fish and have a great day with us on the water. The Mianus Chapter has fly rods and equipment that has been sanitized and left unused for more than one week which you can borrow if you have never fished for these powerful salmon, or do not have heavier-weight tackle.
