Join members of Mid-Hudson Trout Unlimited for a Holiday Party and Rod Design & Building with James Kilroy.

MHTU will provide a selection of Local Cheeses, Fresh Veggies, Fresh Seasonal Fruit, and Assorted House-Made Dips. The bar at The Salt Line Restaurant, located within The Heartwood at Vassar, will be available if you wish to purchase a drink.

Jim Kilroy will lead a discussion and demonstration of the fundamentals of rod building. And Jim will offer hands-on instruction for guests who would like to try wrapping guides on a rod.

Jim designs and builds custom fishing rods for both fresh and saltwater throughout the year. According to Jim, "Every rod has its own personality for a specific task, whether it be a fly rod, spinning rod, or casting rod -- for small streams and rivers, or surfcasting and offshore saltwater."

This event is free and open to the public.
Membership in Trout Unlimited is not required to attend.
