Details
Ed Ostapczuk will discuss the brook trout study being conducted by the Ashokan-Pepacton Watershed Chapter of Trout Unlimited in the Ashokan/Esopus Creek Watershed.
At age nine, Ed Ostapczuk received his first fishing pole, and at age thirteen, he received a fly-tying kit as a Christmas present. He has been busy with both ever since. Ed moved to the Catskills in 1970, drawn to the region by the Esopus Creek, which he has been fishing ever since. He is a retired middle school teacher, licensed NYS fishing guide, and author of books on fishing.
Ostapczuk joined Trout Unlimited in 1969 and has been a member ever since. He also belongs to several other conservation and fly-fishing organizations, including the Catskill Fly Tyers Guild.
Ed Ostapczuk is the author of The Wanderings Of A Mountain Fly Fisher: Tales From A Catskill Eddy and Other Trout Waters, and Ramblings of A Charmed Circle Flyfisher.
