Every River Needs A Champion and you can help!

Please join the supporters and members of Mohawk Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited in cooperation with SUNY ESF and other organizations for a one day water sampling project on many streams and rivers throughout central New York. We are taking 500 water samples for SUNY ESF students to analyze and learn about the water quality throughout the region.

The process is simple.

Starting at noon on Saturday October 4, pickup up sample bottles at the New Hartford collection location.

Visit one or more locations on your selected or assigned stream and take a water sample. (locations to be provided)

Record the time and location of each sample with a photo and gps.

Return the samples to the collection site.

This event is free and open to all whether you're a member or not! Feel free to register and bring friends, colleagues, and family members.

What to bring: Appropriate footwear or boots/waders, clothing for walking through brush.

We will provide: Sampling bottles
