It's time to count the critters!

Missouri Ozarks Trout Unlimited and Missouri Stream Team #57 is conducting our next Water Quality Monitoring of Crane Creek on Saturday, October 17 at 9 AM.

As citizen conservationists you will assist in sample gathering, macro-invertebrate identification, stream measurement and assessment, and may observe and record outcomes including on-site testing of phosphates and dissolved oxygen levels.

Everyone 14 years old and up is invited. Waders are required. All other equipment will be provided. WQM concludes at about 11:30 AM. There is no cost to participate.

DIRECTIONS: From Springfield, take US 60 west through Billings to flashing yellow light (MO 413) and turn LEFT. Continue south on 413 into Crane, cross the RR tracks, pass the Broiler Festival Park and ball fields, cross over the creek and continue on 413 toward Galena. Cross under the RR bridge and take the first LEFT onto Swinging Bridge Road. Take Swinging Bridge Rd. to Grisham Ford Rd. (first LEFT). Turn LEFT onto Grisham Ford and just across the bridge on the RIGHT is the Lower Wire Road conservation area parking lot.
