Mike Kruise at SVATU November Browns & Brews

Step away from the coldwater streams for an evening and transport yourself to the tropical flats of the Bahamas!

This month, we are excited to host Mike Kruise, co-owner of Longmont's Laughing Grizzly Fly Shop. Known for his infectious enthusiasm and decades of experience both on local Colorado waters and across global destinations like the Bahamas and Belize, Mike brings a wealth of hands-on knowledge to the table.

In his presentation, Chasing Silver Ghosts: Fly Fishing for Bonefish in the Bahamas, Mike will guide us through the nuances of stalking bonefish across vast Bahamian flats.

Highlights include:

• Reading the water and picking out stealthy fish before they spot you.

• Casting accuracy, line management, and handling wind on the flats.

• Top fly patterns and rigging setups proven to hook Bahamian bonefish.

• Insider tips for planning a smooth, successful trip to the islands.

Come connect with fellow anglers, learn new saltwater strategies, and get inspired for your next adventure!
