After 20+ years working for Alaska Game and Fish, Val relocated to Colorado to work for USFS. The GMUG went over 5 years without a fish biologist and her assignment as a temporary detail in the GMUG in 2022 enabled the Clear Fork E. Muddy Fish barrier to proceed and was built in 2023. Now she’s got a permanent position on the GMUG and we get to hear about her plans for the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre, and Gunnison Forests.
