Hey fellow trout nuts!
Just a quick note to announce the location of our May HCTU chapter meeting. Once again we'll be returning to the Blue Ridge Conservancy's Environmental Education Center for our meeting and we'll be starting up at 6pm. If you haven't made it out to one of our meetings this year, you need to come see what a vibrant and entertaining group of fly fishing bums are turning out these days - lots of energy, sharing, and camaraderie these days!
May's agenda will include a presentation on local/regional smallmouth bass (Micropterus dolomieu) fishing, techniques, seasons, and destinations. Also on the agenda will be a quick discussion of WNC woody debris cleanup news (both good and bad as it turns out) as well as a short update on hellbender populations around the Boone area.
As always, feel free to bring your fly tying vises and gear to work on during the meeting. Hope to see you all there!
