Join Trout Unlimited for a workday on Perkins and Peterson Creek in the Manistee River watershed. Volunteers will plant native plants along the streambank to stabilize soil, soak up and filter stormwater runoff, and provide quality habitat.
These streambank plantings will complement restoration work that Trout Unlimited did last year including constructing 3 new road stream crossings to replace ones that were blocking fish passage.
We will have two workdays to choose from. Volunteers are welcome to stay as long or as little as they'd like, and we appreciate any commitment you can make. We recommend bringing water, lunch, and boots. All are welcome!
We will meet at Peterson Creek, please use the following for directions: 44.22928, -85.75207
Thank you for helping us take care of our coldwater resources!
