Join Trout Unlimited for a workday on Perkins and Peterson Creek in the Manistee River watershed. Volunteers will plant native plants along the streambank to stabilize soil, soak up and filter stormwater runoff, and provide habitat.
This past summer, Trout Unlimited replaced 3 road stream crossings, removed a culvert, and added large wood on these two creeks, and this planting will be a part of these larger projects.
We will meet at Perkins Creek (44.31474, -85.66132) then move to Peterson Creek (44.22877, -85.75085) to finish up the day. Volunteers are welcome to stay as long or as little as they'd like!
We recommend bringing water, lunch, and boots.
Thank you for helping us take care of our coldwater resources!
