Little River Streamside Cleanup

Each year, LRCTU supports the GSMNP with the Little River stream side clean-up. The litter clean-up crew will assemble at the Metcalf Bottoms Picnic Area in the Park around 9 a.m. on September 23.  After a safety talk the crew will split into smaller teams to walk-down about four miles of Little River Road adjacent to the River.  After a couple of hours of trash collection we meet back at Metcalf Bottoms for a great lunch.  TVA is a financial sponsor for LRCTU stream side cleanups in 2023.
Directions:

From the Sugarlands Visitors Center, go 10 mi west on Little River Road (TN73).

From Townsend, take US Rt 321 approximately 6 miles into Wears Valley, turn right onto Line Springs Rd for 2.7 miles.
