We have a rare opportunity to access Link Creek and Blue Lake on Caldera’s property to help wrap up a project for local trout and salmon. We will gather at the main lodge of Caldera between noon and 12:30pm for an orientation to the site and project. We will tour the property and project area, get settled into one of the access sites, and help complete rehabilitation for the site (planting and adding forest duff). We will wrap up our volunteer work by 4pm for a chance to gather along the shore of Blue Lake and see additional sites along Link Creek. For those that want to cast a line around the Blue Lake outlet and shoreline, this is a unique opportunity to explore and fish this private water. Link Creek downstream of the outlet, which is closed to fishing, will be full of spawning kokanee, and some large brown trout starting to spawn as well.
