Kinderhook Creek Tree Planting & Invasive Species Removal Volunteer Day!

We're excited to be welcoming folks from around the region to help plant some native trees and remove invasive knotweed along the Kinderhook Creek! Trout Unlimited's Northeast Conservation Staff and Hudson Taconic Lands have identified a key parcel along the riparian zone of the preserve where a really great opportunity is available to not only remove invasive knotweed, but plant healthy native trees and allow them the chance to naturally outcompete the invasives!

Want to get to know a local creek like the Kinderhook with folks who study watersheds & wild fish habitat? This is a great opportunity to get your hands dirty and learn a bit more about a unique local fishery like the Kinderhook Creek! Be sure to lace up your work boots and bring a rain jacket just in case as this is a rain or shine volunteer event! We will provide all tools and bulk cold water coolers so please bring your refillable bottles.
