Join us for a Fly Fishing Workshop that covers all the essentials in an engaging and hands-on format! You'll gain the skills and knowledge needed to become a proficient fly fisher. Discover why fly fishing is so captivating as we explore the fascinating world of trout and their diet of aquatic insects. Get acquainted with the necessary tackle, including rods, reels, leaders, and tippets, and learn how to select the right equipment. Knot tying techniques will be demonstrated. Delve into the intricacies of trout feeding habits. Explore the different types of flies and their resemblance to real insects. Discover various fly fishing methods, from dry flies to nymphing and streamers. Gain a deeper understanding of fish habits and learn how to read the water effectively. The workshop includes in-depth fly casting demonstration and instruction session, where you'll have the opportunity to practice your skills. Finally, put your newfound knowledge to the test as you venture out to the pond to catch your own fish.  

This event is open to the public. Class size is limited to ten students and registration is required.
