Join Trout Unlimited, RiverLink and other local partners as we continue to work together to help the Asheville area recover from Hurricane Helene.
We will be hosting a volunteer tree planting event to plant native trees along the Swannanoa River and giving away hundreds of free trees to area residents and businesses as well!
Native trees play a crucial role in helping rivers recover from flooding, prevent further erosion and help mitigate the impacts of future floods.
For tree volunteers, all tools and gloves will be provided - feel free to stop by just to plant one tree, or stay until the job is done!
For the tree giveaway, each resident/vehicle can take up to 25 native trees (species and availability will vary) for planting at their home or business to help the region's tree canopy recover from Hurricane Helene. Availability of trees will be first come / first served, so please be sure to register to help us plan for how many trees to order!
