HELP EJTU AND NJF&W STOCK TROUT IN THE RAMAPO RIVER ON APRIL 7, 2026

It is that time of year. We are starting our annual spring stocking next Tuesday April 7 th and we need volunteers to help us with this process. This is the second of 9 dates where we will be assisting NJF&W this year. We will be stocking in Oakland, Glen Gray, The Ramapo Reservation, Halifax Road and Stag Hill Road.
The stocking truck usually arrives between 10 & 10:30, and we are finished between 12 & 1pm.
There are several different methods which are used to stock the fish.
~ Volunteers will hand carry buckets, which weight approximately 35 lbs, to transport the fish.
~ we have a cart that can be used to transport multiple buckets to a location
~ we have a boat that we use to float stock the fish down the river, weather/flow permitting
~ we have coolers with aerators that we fill with fish and transfer them into buckets for distribution
Coffee and munchkins will be provided for the volunteers and EJTU members will also earn points.
