Griffith Circle members are invited to a special briefing about Trout Unlimited’s work in the Eel River watershed of northern California. This will be our final Streamside Chat offering of 2021.
The Eel River was one of California’s largest salmon and steelhead runs and is a focal area for population recovery efforts. We invite you to join TU staffers, Anna Halligan and Charlie Schneider, to learn how the North Coast Coho Project is working with agencies and private landowners to identify, prioritize, implement, and monitor this watershed-scale restoration. This critical work is anticipated to benefit wild salmon and steelhead, but also to address legacy land use practices that increase the risk of wildland fires.
