GBTU Spring 2025 Trip to Weatherby's Resort
Join fellow GBTU members next spring at Weatherby’s resort, one of the oldest and most famous sporting lodges in the country. Located in Down East Maine, Weatherby’s fishing resource is truly world class. Three-mile-long Grand Lake Stream has been fly fishing only since 1902 and is home to one of four strains of landlocked salmon found in the lower 48. Gin clear waters, long smooth pools and steep fast water all challenge the fly angler and provide the reward of a leaping landlocked salmon. Weatherby’s also offers fishing in dozens of pristine and undeveloped glacial lakes for smallmouth bass where 50-100 fish days are common. So, whether you are interested in salmon and trout or smallmouth bass, Weatherby’s can provide what you are looking for.
The GBTU trip includes meals and lodging for three nights and two full days of guided fishing with the option to fish on departure day.
This trip is during prime salmon/smallmouth season and coincides with the caddis hatch along with a wide variety of may fly species.
The GBTU trip dates are Thursday, May 29 arrival to June 1, Sunday departure. Three nights and two full days of fishing with the option to fish on departure day of June 1.
The package includes a private bedroom in a shared cabin, meals from dinner on May 29 through lunch packed to go on Sunday June 1. Beer and wine are included with dinner, however personal beverages are welcome and encouraged as Weatherby’s is not licensed to sell alcohol.
Three nights lodging with two days guided fishing is $1379 per person, which does not include 9% tax on food and lodging or gratuities for staff. The rate includes a 10% TU discount on food and lodging.
