GBTU Salmon River (NY) Spring Steelhead Group Wade Trip

Saturday, April 13th, 2024 Salmon River, NY Wade Trip-

This is a one-day, walk and wade trip this spring on the Salmon River, NY with Jay Peck of Jay Peck Guides (JPG). With Jay's help, you'll be chasing steelhead and have a variety of ways to pursue them whether drifting nymphs / eggs or swinging flies (for those interested in swinging flies, conditions are typically favorable at this time). Jay has an intimate knowledge of this watershed and its resident fish - he has a reputation for knowing where the fish are and putting fly anglers on them. He also has a passion for teaching so come prepared to pick up tips on fly fishing and casting as well as learning more about the local ecology. There are four spot available on this trip. The Salmon River is approximately a 5 hour drive from the Boston area. If local lodging is desired, JPG can recommend options.

Jay Peck Guides/Lost Rivers Fishing is a year-round fly fishing catch-and-release guide service. JPG specializes in fishing the Lake Ontario tributaries from the Salmon River area to trips along western Lake Ontario during the tributary season.

Cost: $320.00 per person which includes the tip.

Meeting Location and Time:  Since conditions can change rapidly, Jay will notify you by email or phone the day before the trip.   The meeting location will be somewhere in the Pulaski/Altmar, NY area sometime between 7 and 8 am.

Duration: 6-7 hours

We will go rain or shine, so please be prepared to be out in the elements for the day.  Other items you should have with you include; hat, sunglasses, camera, sun screen, bug spray. We will have rods and reels ready if you require one, just let us know if you need one. Please bring a lunch and a water bottle.

Refund Policy:  Payment is fully refunded for cancellations before April 6, or if we are able to find a replacement angler.  If the trip is canceled for unsafe conditions, or other unforeseen circumstances you will receive a full refund.
