Join Greater Boston Trout Unlimited at the Boston Patagonia store on Friday, October 9th for the Salter book tour event featuring author Thomas R. Pero, who will read from and discuss his new book, Salter: The Improbable Return of the Magical Sea-Run Brook Trout to the Little Rivers of Cape Cod.

GBTU is pleased to join with Patagonia Boston, Wild River Press, and Sea-Run Brook Trout Coalition to present this special event that will bring together anglers and conservationists to explore the remarkable story of sea-run brook trout restoration in New England and celebrate the release of Salter. The evening will also feature renowned restoration advocate Francis H. Smith presenting on Restoring the Quashnet River.

The event is free and open to the public, whether or not you are a Trout Unlimited member, and food and drinks will be provided by Patagonia Boston. Serving as GBTU's October chapter gathering, this stop on the Salter book tour is a chance to connect with fellow anglers and conservationists while learning about one of the Northeast's most inspiring native fish restoration success stories.

About the Author
Thomas R. Pero was the first full-time editor of Trout, the magazine of Trout Unlimited. During his 16-year tenure, twice the publication was recognized as Conservation Magazine of the Year by the Natural Resources Council of America. Pero is the recipient of the Aldo Starker Leopold Wild Trout Medal for a lifetime of journalism dedicated to wild rivers and wild fish.
