Join GBTU members and supporters in the Community Room at the Public Lands Store, Shoppers World, Framingham, for our November Chapter Gathering with guest speaker Beth Lambert.
Beth Lambert is the Director of the Massachusetts Division of Ecological Restoration (DER), a 30-person agency dedicated to restoring rivers, wetlands, and watersheds for the benefit of people and nature. DER works with federal and state agencies, municipalities, non-profit organizations, and landowners to remove dams; rewild former cranberry bogs; restore coastal wetlands; and upgrade culverts. DER and partners have removed nearly 70 dams and restored over 4000 acres of wetlands. A fluvial geomorphologist by training, Beth has over twenty-five years of experience in community-based restoration in the Pacific Northwest and New England. She is passionate about scaling up ecological restoration to help people and nature adapt to climate change.
Beth will discuss the Division’s work to restore rivers and wetlands, focusing on the restoration and protection of Massachusetts coldwater ecosystems.

The chapter gathering is free to attend and open to all, regardless of whether you are a GBTU member or not.
Food and beverages will be provided and a donation to cover the cost is recommended but optional. Shoppers World is easily accessible from the Mass Pike and route 9 and there is plenty of free parking.
