GBTU May Chapter Gathering at the Boston Filson Store
Join GBTU members and supporters at the Filson Store in the Boston Seaport district for our May chapter gathering on Tuesday, May 20th starting at 6:30pm.
Bill Holleran will provide an engaging presentation on Tenkara fly fishing called, Tenkara Master Class.
Bill is the owner of Red Brook Tenkara and was an early adopter of the method. After learning to fish the tenkara fly fishing method he became frustrated with the lack of support in the area and opened RBT. Since then he has been teaching tenkara, selling his own line of gear, and promoting throughout New England.
Bill was instrumental in getting the tenkara method legalized in New Hampshire’s Fly Fishing Only areas. But he is best known for his annual event, The White Mountains Tenkara Camp Out, which has grown to 90 people, and sells out every year.
The chapter gathering is free to attend and open to all, regardless of whether you are a GBTU member or not. Food and beverages will be provided and a donation to cover the cost is recommended but optional.

Take the Red line to South Station, from South Station it is a 0.5 mile walk to the Filson store or you can ride the Silver Line (outbound, SL1/SL2/SL3 or SLW) to the first stop at Courthouse which is one block from the store.
