Subject: Tackling the Farmington River – How to build a plan for angling success.
Join GBTU members and supporters at the Orvis Wellesley Store for our next chapter gathering on March 24th starting at 6:30pm.
This chapter gathering will include our annual business meeting and elections followed by a presentation by Orvis Wellesley Store Manager Will Oliver.
Will will discuss strategies for success and lessons learned on Connecticut’s Farmington River. This presentation will cover the history of the Farmington, the Survivor Strain Brown Trout Program as well as a method of approach for planning a successful outing on the river. Will was lucky enough to grow up minutes from the Farmington and it was there that his passion for conservation and fly fishing began. Over his decade career with Orvis, Will has been lucky enough to work and fish around the United States, however he proudly considers the Farmington River his home waters.
The chapter gathering is free to attend and open to all, regardless of whether you are a GBTU member or not. Food and beverages will be provided and a donation to cover the cost is recommended but optional. There is plenty of free parking available.
