Join us for an evening of fine dining, camaraderie, and conservation! Enjoy a delicious dinner, silent auctions, raffles, and a special bamboo fly rod raffle.

🎤 Guest Speaker: Ethan Jessing, Maumee Middle School science teacher and leader of the Trout in the Classroom program.

🍽️ Dinner: $65 per guest (choice of entrée + sides, dessert, and appetizer)

🎣 Optional Add-Ons: Guest fishing passes ($70), overnight lodging available

Saturday, November 1, 2025 – Rockwell Springs Trout Club, Castalia, OH

• 6:00 PM — Registration, appetizers, drinks, raffle, social hour

• 7:00 PM — Dinner

• Guest Speaker immediately following dinner

• All auctions will close shortly after the speaker finishes

Evening Highlights

Guest Speaker:

Ethan Jessing, 7th Grade Science Teacher at Maumee Middle School. He has engaged students in the Trout in the Classroom program (funded by the Ohio Environmental Education Foundation), hydroponics, composting, raised garden beds, and more. Recently, he joined the US EPA’s Lake Guardian research vessel via Ohio Sea Grant and the Center for Great Lakes Literacy. At the banquet, he will discuss the impact of the Trout in the Classroom program, its classroom extensions, and his experiences in environmental science education.

Silent Auctions featuring fishing gear, guided fishing days, and unique items.

Items include:

• “Bidder’s Choice Rod” from the R.L. Winston Rod Co. — The highest bidder will be allowed to select from any of Winston’s current graphite, single-handed fly rods, including the Air 2, Pure 2, Super 10, Air 2 Max, and the Tom Morgan Favorite. Selection subject to manufacturer availability.

• A day of fishing for two and an overnight room at Sunnybrook Trout Club

• A night’s lodging at Gate’s Au Sable Lodge

• A set of Original Anglers Pint Glasses

• A set of Tie-One-On Brook Trout and Brown Trout Old Fashioned Glasses

Special Raffle — Headwaters Bamboo “The Beaverhead” Fly Rod — 7’0”, 4-wt, 2-piece, Medium Action. A beautifully handcrafted, fully fishable work of art. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase at the event.

Dinner Menu – $65 per guest

(Please make your meal choices when buying your ticket.)

• Appetizer (served prior to seating): House-smoked trout pâté tray

• Starter (choose one): Tossed salad or turtle soup

• Entrées (choose one):

  • Harvest Trout – Walnut panko-breaded trout fillets over maple & butternut squash butter sauce, topped with Craisins

  • Pork & Peaches – Pork medallions topped with fire-roasted peaches & maple glaze

  • Vegetable Kabobs – Marinated vegetables, grilled (vegetarian)

   

• Sides: Roasted redskin potatoes and steamed green beans

• Dessert: Chocolate parfait with whipped cream and shaved chocolate

Dinner includes the above items. Additional purchases (bar drinks, tackle shop items, or breakfast/lunch for overnight guests) will be charged to your temporary Rockwell Springs account. You will be emailed an invoice after the event, and prompt payment is expected.

Optional Add-Ons

Guest Fishing Pass – $70 (for banquet attendees only)

A Guest Fishing Pass allows non-member banquet attendees to fish Rockwell Springs Trout Club.

• With an overnight stay, valid through Sunday, November 2, 2025 (until 4:00 PM)

Note: This pass is optional and does not include banquet dinner or overnight lodging.

Overnight Lodging – Saturday Night

If you would like to spend the night at Rockwell Springs, rooms are available.

• Pets & Pet-Free Rooms: A limited number of rooms are designated pet-free, and a limited number allow pets (with an $8/night fee). If you plan to bring a pet or require a pet-free room, please contact Fallen Timbers Trout Unlimited before booking to confirm availability.

• Rockwell Members: Use discount code RSTCMEMBER at checkout to be billed directly by Rockwell Springs. Otherwise, payment will be collected at checkout here. Be sure to include your RSTC member number when purchasing your banquet ticket.

Oxbow Lodge – $117.98 (4 rooms total)

Premier lodge with a large shared lounge, fireplace, TV, wet bar, and screened porch overlooking the stream.

Wilson House – $80.44 (6 rooms total)

Historic farmhouse with mixed room types (queen, full, and king). Some rooms have porch access.

Willows – $101.89 (8 rooms total)

Built as three pairs of adjoining rooms, each with two queen beds. Rooms 2–5 have patio access; Rooms 1 & 6 are a short walk away.

Streamside Cottage – $101.89 (2 rooms total)

Early-1900s barn conversion with two adjoining rooms, each with two full beds. Step-free layout; smoking allowed on the screened porch only.
