Both a tailwater and Class 1 WTMA, the Mill River is a true gem of Fairfield County.
Come out and join Mianus TU for a fun winter day learning this amazing and close to home wild trout fishery. The dam releases keep the water warmer than most streams in winter (and colder than most streams in summer) making it ideal trout habitat!
We will meet in the parking lot of the Covenant Church in Easton at 1 Sport Hill Road at 10 AM and spread out along the river from there.
Chapter free fishing trips are fun, casual events for anglers of all ages skill levels. If you need a fly rod or would like hands on instruction, let us know! Our dedicated and knowledgeable TU volunteers are more than willing to help and share their experience.
Kids and beginners welcome - you don't have to be a member to participate.
