"Free Fishing Day" - Flat Brook, New Jersey

CVTU member, Fred Madura, would like to lead a fishing trip to the Flat Brook River in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation area. The Flat Brook is a 11.6 mile tributary of the Delaware River near Port Jervis, NY (see map below). Saturday, June 1st, is free fishing day in NJ so no license is required.

Fred has fished this river a lot, and it has always been well stocked. NJ only stocks rainbows but every year Fred says he catches a fair number of wild Brook trout .

Fred will provide maps to a meeting place on the river, and a map of the river and a number of good access points. He will bring coffee and munchkins to the meeting place.
