Help the Morganton community and surrounding areas recover from the devastation of Hurricane Helen by planting trees!
Trees will be available for free for families and community members to take home to restore their own property (We're also holding community tree planting events May 17 at Buck Creek in Marion NC and May 31 at Doe Creek in Roan Mountain TN and would love to have you join us as volunteers!)
Native tree species that help restore damage to land, rivers and more will be available in sizes ranging from 2' to 6' depending on species:
- Brandywine Red Maple
- Red Sunset Maple
- Armstrong Maple
- Sun Valley Maple
- Flame Amur Maple
- Carolina Silverbell
- Sweet Gum
- Princeton Elm
- Heritage River Birch
- Shumard Oak
