Help the Boone community and surrounding areas recover from the devastation of Hurricane Helen by planting trees!
Trees will be available for free for families and community members to take home to restore their own property. We will be setup in the back of the NC Cooperative Extension Watauga County Center (971 W King St, Boone, NC)
Native tree species that help restore damage to land, rivers and more will be available in sizes ranging from 2' to 6' depending on species:
- Brandywine Red Maple
- Red Sunset Maple
- Sun Valley Maple
- Ironwood
- Carolina Silverbell
- Sweet Gum
- White Oak
- Scarlet Oak
- Shumard Oak
- Red Oak
- Princeton Elm
- Heritage River Birch
