Come join us for special guest speaker Scott Daskiewich, President of the Native Fish Coalition New York Chapter, discussing lake strain brook trout and lake trout.
Scott Daskiewich: Born and raised in the southern Tug Hill Plateau, currently living in the Mohawk Valley area with his wife and two daughters. A University of Buffalo graduate where he received his degree in Chemical Engineering. Scott caught his first wild native brook trout fishing ponds while on family hiking trips to the Adirondack Mountains. This spurred a lifetime fascination with stillwater trout and the various challenges they face. Scott is an avid fly fisher and fly tyer, and also enjoying skiing, mountain biking, running, mushroom foraging, and hiking. He sees the Native Fish Coalition as a key driver for protecting the wild native fish species in the Adirondack Park region where they currently face many challenges.
