Join us on Saturday, October 26th for a volunteer redd count on the Cross River at Ward Pound Ridge!
This redd count is apart of a greater community science and monitoring project on the Cross River at Ward Pound Ridge Reservation to document trout spawning so that we can better advocate for enhanced regulatory protection and prioritize future habitat restoration projects.
Join us at 10 am at the Meadows Parking Lot! During the survey session we'll cover:
How to use Trout Unlimited's REDDS Survey Tool
How to document spawning redds
Trout spawning habitat
Divide into teams to survey different sections of river
