Crayfish Creek Workday - Wednesday, April 30 - 9am to 1pm
Please join us for a workday on Crayfish Creek on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
We'll be installing chicken wire cages around small trees including those we planted during our workday on Saturday, April 19th. The deer enjoy nibbling on these small trees and we need them to survive into adulthood to provide shade for the creek.
Crayfish Creek's restoration was originally a TU Embrace-A-Stream project initiated by UCCTU and the Oconee River Chapter along with the National Park Service. Today, it is managed by the Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy and the National Park Service. Much information can be found at crayfishcreek.org.
The Chattahoochee National Park Conservancy handles sign-ups for workdays at Crayfish Creek.
