The TU Sylva/Tuckaseigee Chapter is hosting another fishing/coaching cookout at East Laporte 4-8 pm on May 14th.

This is an outdoor event and cookout open to the public. Pass the invite along to anyone you know who is interested in conservation and fishing. Newcomers are always welcome.
 
Starting around 4pm TU chapter volunteers will be available for casting tips, demonstrations and anything related to fishing, casting and gear. It will be on rain or shine at the beautiful East Laporte River Park shelter off of 107.

Directions to East Laporte
We'll have all the gear needed, including some waders.Casting can be done on the grass or from the bank easily for those who want to stay dry.
 
Around 6pm we'll fire up the grills for hamburgers and hot dogs. Club members may want to bring something to share.  And we'll be showing and offering a bamboo rod (drawing at a later date) plus some new and nearly new gear.
