NOTE: For out-of-region travelers this is a full-weekend activity; for those coming just for Saturday, activities begin in Dolores at 9 am and will conclude with afternoon fishing.

Join staff and volunteer leaders with Colorado Trout Unlimited and its chapters for a weekend of exploration and learning in the Dolores watershed of southwest Colorado! Campsites (for tent or RVs) and other lodging are available at The Views in Dolores - https://www.theviewsrvpark.com/ - with those traveling to the area for this event reserving there for Friday and Saturday evenings October 9-10 including opportunity for group pot-lucks in the evening. On Saturday October 10, leaders with the Dolores River Anglers chapter will meet participants at 9 am at Joe Rowell Park in Dolores, from where we can caravan/carpool for a day of visiting project sites and fishing. Bring your own brown-bag lunch. The Dolores River Anglers have worked with agency partners on a range of restoration efforts on key tributaries to the Dolores and will show off examples of "process based low tech restoration" techniques such as beaver dam analogs, explaining the strategy and (so far) results of their efforts to improve key habitats for wild trout. The upper Dolores is a wonderful fishery as well, so bring your gear and be ready to wet a line with other TUers after visiting the restoration sites.
