Help inspire the next generation of anglers and conservationists by tying flies for Colorado TU’s education programs.
Every fly you tie helps connect more students with rivers, science, and conservation through Colorado TU’s education programs.
How it Works
- 
Tie as many flies as you want to, using the recommended fly pattern(s) of your choice 
- 
Submit all flies by April 1, 2026. 
- 
Include your TU Chapter name and number of flies with your submission. 
Recommended Fly Patterns
- mini leech
- woolly buggers
- dark pheasant tail, pheasant tail spin-offs
- hares ear
- caddis pupa patterns
- midge larva and emergers
- perdigons
- elk hair caddis
- high floatation foam dry flies > chubbies, hippie stomper
- ants, beetles, hoppers
Prize 🏆
The chapter that ties the most flies wins the Colorado TU Tie-4-The Future Trophy for one year
—plus bragging rights that come with it! 
The winning chapter will be announced at the Colorado TU Spring 2026 Meeting.
