At age 30, Capt. Sadie Samuels is the youngest lobster captain fishing out of Rockport, ME – and the only female captain in the harbor running Must Be Nice Lobster, which includes the commercial fishing boat, food cart, gift shop and more. Join us to watch a feature film from our partners at YETI, sharing Sadie’s passion for lobstering and her love of family, fishing and the freedom found on the open water. Sadie will join us for complimentary beer and wine and a candid discussion about the health of the lobster industry, the cold, clean waters required to keep it thriving in the face of a changing climate. She’ll also dish on what it’s like to break into the commercial fishing industry, where only 4% of captains are female. This event is free and open to the public.
