Join the Mianus Chapter for our monthly meeting at Waveny House in New Canaan!
Fly tying is a great winter activity when the rods go away for the Winter! If you've always wanted to learn how to tie flies or brush up on your skills, this is the perfect event for you. Volunteers from the Mianus Chapter will cover the fundamentals and all the tools and materials you need to get started in tying flies.
If you have a vise, feel free to bring your own and toil away! If you're just getting started, we have everything you need including tying vise, tools and materials.
We'll do a brief introduction to familiarize everyone with the gear and materials and get right to it! We'll be tying wooly buggers and simple nymph patterns.
If you don't tie flies, join us for some snacks, beer, wine and good cheer!
