Join us at Manistee's Vogue Theater for an Earth Day celebration with a free viewing of the film '2040' as part of the Port City Documentary Series!
Motivated by his 4-year-old daughter and concern for the planet she will inherit, Damon Gameau, Australian award-winning director embarks on a global journey to meet innovators and changemakers to discover what the future could look like by the year 2040 if we embraced the best solutions already available to us and shifted them rapidly into the mainstream.
The film screening will be followed by a discussion on climate resilience with Jamie Vaughan (Trout Unlimited), Nick Sanchez (Old-Growth Forest Network), Maddy Baroli (Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science), Bernie Ware (retired farmer), and Gene Lagerquist (Spirit of the Woods).
Bonus! Attendees will be able to take home a free tree seedling - the shagbark hickory - thanks to the Manistee Conservation District and TU!
