When: SUNDAY JUNE 12th, 2026, 8 AM

Where: Animas River at the 29th Street Park - Look for a truck with the 5RTU Banner. We have heard reports that Hermosa Creek is running too low and already getting warmer than we'd like. So, we decided to change to the Animas and just fish for a couple hours earlier in the day.

What to bring: Fishing gear! If you let us know ahead of time, we could get a rod and reel or two, but you will need your own waders, flies, leaders, lunch, etc. Reach out to fiveriverstu@gmail.com if so!

Times: 8 AM until the water is too hot or (hopefully) rainstorms!

This will be our SECOND Cast and Connect. It is an informal meetup for anglers that just want to meet others, and, oh yeah, do some fishing! Just show up and we'll go from there. Should be a good time for hopper-droppers!
