Cape Cod TU January Chapter Meeting - Strategies & Tactics for Stillwaters by Phil Rowley

Stillwaters offer a long fly-fishing season and the chance of larger fish, for many a fish of a lifetime.  Yet, for many, stillwaters are a source of constant frustration and dissatisfaction.  This program is designed to give the fly fisher a comprehensive understanding of fly fishing stillwaters.  We will look at several factors affecting the stillwater fly fisher, plus the associated strategies and tactics to cope with each situation.  This program should help the fly fisher understand stillwaters and make the most of the conditions.

 

Phil Rowley will be traveling from Edmonton, Canada to speak at the Marlborough and New Jersey Fly Fishing Shows.  We are lucky to have him speak at our chapter meeting.  Phil is a commercial fly tyer and outdoor writer.  He has appeared on many TV shows, guides clients on trips and hosted destination trips and operates fly fishing schools.  In 2014, Phil received a Lifetime Achievement award from Fly Tyer magazine. He has authored 4 books, including the Orvis Guide to Stillwater Trout Fishing.

 

Pizza and refreshments will be served. This meeting is free and open to the public, but we ask that you register so that we can plan for food and drinks.  You do NOT need to print out a ticket.
