CANCELLED: Fourmile Creek Beaver Dam Analog Build Saturday, April 26

Collegiate Peaks Chapter of Trout Unlimited is partnered with EcoMetrics, Envision Chaffee County, USFS, and the Greater Arkansas River Nature Association to restore Fourmile Creek above Buena Vista using Low-tech Process Based Restoration. EcoMetrics has designed and is leading the project. There is a work day scheduled for Saturday, April 26. The work includes driving posts with a gas-powered post pounder, and weaving mud, rocks, and woody materials around the posts to build the dams. If you want to help, plan to bring muck boots or waders, sturdy work clothes, gloves, eye and ear protection, water and food. Registration is required.
