To celebrate Arbor Day (a day late), come out and plant a tree (or 10) with us along Camden Creek! This is the site of the Battenkill Home Rivers Initiative's first restoration project, which will see an extension later this year. More trees will be planted here (and at other sites) next year, so come get your toes wet this spring.
Please park along Hickory Hill Road and meet us along the stream (north/upstream of the bridge).
If you have your own shovel, work gloves, and watering bucket, please bring them. Otherwise, we have a limited supply that you can borrow. TU will supply a water jug, hand sanitizer, and snacks for after the event.
For anyone participating in the Home Rivers Open (fishing/conservation fundraising event to support TU's restoration work in the region), this is an opportunity for you to gain two additional entries for the prize drawing!
We encourage all volunteers to wear a mask, despite us being outside and able to socially distance.
Please register here, so we know to expect you, and if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at Jacob.Fetterman@tu.org
See you May 1st!
