There's nothing better than joining friends and neighbors to take care of a river we all love!
Join TU's Battenkill Home Rivers Initiative on Sunday, May 5th at 11:00am for a tree planting event along this historic and important coldwater river.
We'll be working in Manchester, VT along a recently acquired Orvis property. This site will be the focus of a habitat improvement project later this year, which we will discuss prior to getting our hands dirty!
TU tree plantings are great ways to engage the entire family - so bring out your kids and grandkids and help teach them the importance of working together as a community to care for and recover our rivers and streams.
We'll have some tools available, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves, shovels, and water bottles.
