Join the Batten Kill Watershed Alliance & TU's Battenkill Home Rivers Initiative on Saturday, April 29th at 9:00am for a tree planting event taking place during the Battenkill Fly Fishing Festival.
The trees you help plant will develop a strong root structure to prevent future erosion, filter stormwater, and provide shade the Battenkill needs to stay a cool, safe home for trout and other species.
Tree plantings are a great way to engage the entire family - so bring out your kids and grandkids and help teach them the importance of working together as a community to care for and recover our rivers and streams.
We'll have some tools available, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves, shovels, and water bottles.
*Note: Benedict Crossing Rd is still closed at the bridge.
