In this fun, fall tournament, every stroke matters and every inch counts!
Join Trout Unlimited on Monday, Nov. 9 from 11:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. for a unique day of golf and fly fishing at the Tradition Golf Club at Oak Lane in Woodbridge, CT.
You'll enjoy a great day playing 9-holes on a scenic and challenging course, along with two hours of fly fishing for some monster bass in the course ponds. What's more, every 12 inches of bass caught shaves a stroke off your score!
Whether you're a duffer who is a master caster, or an ace with the clubs who can't double-haul an inch, you'll have an equal shot at the title - and a ton of fun along the way!
Best of all, this friendly tournament benefits Trout Unlimited, with all proceeds going to support the new Connecticut & New York Regional Coordinator position - a role designed to grow the impact of TU's conservation work on the local rivers we all love.
The schedule is as follows:
11:30 a.m. - Check in, lunch and warm up on the range
(Lunch will be outdoors and individually packaged)
12:15 p.m. - Break into groups to fish a rotation through each of three ponds
(We suggest 5 weight fly rods and your choice of bass and panfish flies)
1:45 p.m. - 9 Holes of golf with shotgun start
4:30 p.m. - Award ceremony, prize drawing and closing comments
Social distancing, masks and more will be required per state and local guidelines and TU safety protocols. Single golfers will be paired with a partner and share a cart - or have the option to walk the course.
