Anglers, river stewards, and neighbors - join us as we partner with the US Forest Service Hiawatha National Forest and Fred Waara Trout Unlimited to plant native trees along the Au Train River.
This planting is part of the larger effort of the Hiawatha National Forest over the last decade for long-term restoration and protection of the Au Train River while considering an enjoyable and safe experience for visitors. Participants will get to check out and learn more about the exciting project upgrades that have been completed.
Planting tools and supplies will be provided, but feel free to bring gloves or extra tools if you wish. We recommend that participants bring bug spray, sturdy shoes, and water. Refreshments will be provided.
This event is family-friendly. All are welcome!
We will meet on Au Train Forest Lake Road 3/4 mile south of Au Train. For directions, please enter 46.420228, -86.837900 into Google Maps or other navigation systems.
