Details
Every year, Trout Unlimited and Kinross Alaska team up to provide a free fishing trip for members of our Armed Forces. It is with great excitement that we announce the 2026 Trout Unlimited and Kinross Alaska Armed Forces Appreciation Fishing Trip on the Kenai River!
This year, we will host 20 veteran or active-duty members of our Armed Forces for a day of complimentary guided fishing. This trip is our way of expressing our gratitude for your service and sharing with you our passion for fly fishing. We’ll cast lines for world-class wild trout and Dolly Varden, get to know one another and revitalize ourselves outside. Fly anglers of all abilities are welcome – our guides will assure a great experience for any experience level.
Cost: A day of guided fishing, including food and gear, is on us! Transportation to Sterling & fishing license not provided.
Eligibility: This trip is open to all active or veteran members of the U.S. Armed Forces living or stationed in Alaska who are willing to travel to Sterling, AK. Preference will go to participants who have never been on a TU/Kinross Armed Forces Fishing Trip before.
