There's nothing better than meeting up with friends and neighbors to take care of a river we all love!
Join members for three of New York's premier Trout Unlimited Chapters: NYC Trout Unlimited, Croton Watershed, and Mid Hudson TU on Sunday, May 1st at 11:00 am for their annual Amawalk Tree Planting. Representatives from the New York Department of Environmental Protection will be on site to direct as well.
TU tree plantings are great ways to engage the entire family - so bring out your kids and grandkids and help teach them the importance of working together as a community to care for and recover our rivers and streams. After planting is completed, folks will likely take to the river in the hopes of finding some rising fish to thank them for their efforts!
We'll have some tools available, but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves and shovels.
