Starting from the Hessie TH it's roughly a 5.3mi (10.6mi RT) hike to Woodland Lake with ~2,273' elevation gain along the way.

We have an overnight permit that will accommodate 7 people for the night of 8/23. Additional permits may be available if we want to split into two smaller groups. You are welcome to join for a day hike if you're unable to stay overnight.

For those who want to carpool, plan to meet in Boulder around 5:30am. For those meeting at the TH, plan to arrive at Hessie no later than 6:15am. Cell service at the TH is spotty.

Pack list and meal prep will be discussed via email in advance of the trip.
