With the cool temps and yellowing of the cottonwoods, it appears fall is around the corner! We are excited to announce another Adult Fly Fishing 101 clinic!

WHO: Colorado Trout Unlimited, Colorado Parks & Wildlife, Purgatoire Watershed Partnership, Fishers Peak Outfitters, Purgatoire Anglers, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers
WHEN: Friday, 26 SEP 2025 - 2-5pm (arrive early so that we can start promptly at 2pm)
WHERE: North Lake State Wildlife Area - Highway 12 - meet at the main parking lot on the west side of the lake
WHAT: Adult Fly Fishing 101 - no experience necessary - you will need a valid Colorado fishing license!
WHY: To foster a welcoming environment for adults interested in fly fishing and the outdoors

2:00 - 2:15 - Welcome, introductions, Colorado Trout Unlimited
2:15 - 3:15 - Assembling a fly rod, casting, knots, how to handle fish
3:15 - 5:00 - Fly fishing in and around North Lake SWA with casting tips by roving instructors
