Please join the supporters and members of Mohawk Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited as we clean up and make the habitat better throughout the Mohawk Valley, southern Adirondacks, and southern Tug Hill regions. This event is free and open to all whether you're a member or not! Feel free to register and bring friends, colleagues, and family members.

This season we are adopting DEC fishing access sites and boat launches throughout the region to help keep them clear of trash. We are asking members and volunteers to "adopt" one or more access sites for the season. The task is to stop by once a month (or before or after fishing) to collect any left litter along the streams. One of landowners concerns for allowing public access is left trash that litters the streams near their properties. We can help keep our streams accessible by keeping these areas litter free.

Event date: April to September 2026

Event time: Anytime during the month as your schedule permits.

Event location: Select a DEC access site or launch area in the region and let us know which ones you are picking so we don't have too much overlap. There are over 50 access sites in our region on at least 18 streams. Pond access sites can be adopted too,

Currently we have 27 access sites assigned. There are still plenty of sites that could use attention.
